Fluid intelligence is the capacity to think abstractly and to reason quickly. People who have a high level of fluid intelligence tend to be good at problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
Unfortunately, fluid abilities tend to decline during late adulthood. For many years, it was believed that general memory ability cant be improved. However, recent studies(*) show that regular "dual n-back" brain games, like iBrain, can actually enhance fluid intelligence and reduce memory loss.
In iBrain the player has to concentrate on two events at the same time. The dual n-back memory training consists of memorizing a sequence of spoken numbers and a sequence of positions of a square at once. The task requires to report whenever a number or the location of the square matches the one that appeared in earlier trials.
iBrain will improve concentration and attention and thereby help reduce the symptoms of ADHD.

The only serious n-back application to work with.
Latest version of this app is broken! Had to restore previous. Please update your app for ios 7 and make an ipad version, its really not that difficult to do. Layout is screwed up on ios 7. Other then that the app meets all my needs.
This app does two things: 1) lets you play the standard version of dual n-back. 2) displays graphs charting your progress. It does both of these things very well. Other n-back apps are either non standard versions or they try to do too much. Dont let the language of the description fool you. The app will be in english.
Switched to this app after iqboost, which I considered perfect. The session length, graphics, options are just right.
Downloaded, played a couple if times, liked it. Went back to play a few hours later, and the sound did not work, and it would not let you push button when you needed to . Terrible.
